Just Provide an Email Address and Get Free Stuff For New Baby

It can be unbelievably expensive to have a baby in this day and age. In addition to the hospital stay and doctors, you’ve got to have baby clothes and blankets, a crib, baby furniture, diapers, formula, high chair, and a car-seat among other things. This can be particularly worrisome if your family has experienced a job loss or a cut in the family income. And if you are an expectant mother, you have enough on your mind without having to worry about finances. But to ease your mind, there are many places to get free stuff for new baby and all sorts of other free infant supplies.

When we had our first baby, we were awfully poor (with a capital P). And to complicate things, we had no insurance. Putting money away for the birth and delivery exhausted all our savings. We were so poor that… oh, never mind, it wasn’t a very good joke. Any way, we needed any sort of financial help that we could find. We had no additional cash at all. We were extremely poor. Luckily, one of the baby formula firms was introducing a new formula and baby bottle and was looking for folks to do a thorough testing of their bottle and feeding system. They supplied us with 2 dozen bottles, four hundred bags (to fit into the bottles), and enough formula to last for six months. It absolutely was a much needed and much appreciated present.

We found out about the free offer from my wife’s baby doctor. So, if money is tight and you are having some financial difficulties, speak with your physician and ask if they know of any offers to get free stuff for new baby or any type of free samples. In most situations, your OB/GYN doctor nearly always be aware of some kind of free offer sponsored by baby product makers. If your physician does not offer them to you, ask them about it.

In addition, many hospital maternity centers give new parents a bag of baby products to take home. In these goody bags, you can get free stuff for new baby, free formula, diaper rash creams, bath soap, rattles and discounts for other free items.

Make sure you fill out forms in parent magazines as well as on the internet. Parenting and pregnancy publications are full of offers for free baby stuff. Take advantage of the free offers that you find in magazines. Around your baby’s delivery date, you will get a package containing your free samples.

Even if you breastfeed your baby, get free formula samples. You can use the formula as a supplement and to make baby cereal when your baby gets a little older.

Reliable and higly recommended website freegive for free stuff, free recycling and a cleaner environment

Freegive is made up of groups with members across the world. Freegive connects people who are giving and getting stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills and, at the same time, helping someone in your community by gifting them the item you no longer need. Best of all, it’s completely free to join.

Though I don’t use it as often as I should, I think the freegive.co.uk idea is just brilliant. I have yet to get anything from it, but have found homes for a number of items that I didn’t want or need anymore. I wanted to share the Freegive concept, just in case you hadn’t heard of it.

Freegive is a way of connecting with people online, to find and/or give away stuff. Any kind of stuff. Books, clothing, cooking equipment, furniture and just about anything else you can think of. Chances are, there is someone out there who wants or needs what you are trying to get rid of.

And it’s all free. These websites aren’t for posting items for sale. Just items to be given away for free. How cool is that?

This is the main site for ( ). But Freegive is really a network of sites, not just one. Use the main site to find a Freegive board or site nearest you. There is no point finding someone who wants your old futon, and lives 600 miles away. You need to hook up with a Freegive group in your area. According to their website, Freegive group is active in 99 countries around the world, you can find a group near you at ( ).

Well, each Freegive site is independent and is run by its own volunteers, so there is no single set of rules or instructions. I can describe the one in my area, to give you an idea.

In my case, the site is a Yahoo! groups message board that you have to sign up for in order to read and post. The format of the system is that everyone who has something to give away, creates a post that starts with **offered** and anyone who needs something, posts something starting with **wanted**. You describe what you have or what you need in the rest of the post.

Then interested people contact you by email. Personally, I think it would work better if they posted directly to the board, but that’s not how it works. Once you find someone to take your stuff, or who has what you want, you go back to the Freegive page and make another post. You post again, but this time the title starts with **taken** or **received**.

So if you see something that you want, you need to scroll farther down to see if it has been **taken**.

( Is your item OFFER, TAKEN, WANTED, or RECEIVED? ) – For example: OFFER

( What is your item? ) – For example: HP Printer, Model F2180

( Where are you based? ) – For example: Maryland Road, Maryland, USA

( Please describe your item: ) – For example: Good condition HP Printer, model F2180 – Will probably need new cartridges to make it work but I don’t think it’s a big problem. Let me know if interested.

Well, getting stuff for free can’t be a bad idea. By doing it this way, your unwanted stuff goes directly to someone who can use it. And it saves you the hassle of lugging large items to the local thrift store. Most Freegive member arrange to come to your home and pick their items up. No work for you.

Thrift stores are great, but your stuff gets sold which means someone is making a profit. Freegive is completely and utterly free, so people who are really in a bind can get what they need for nothing.

Another benefit is that it keeps all kinds of unwanted goods out of the garbage and landfill. So many things that we have are still usable, so why not find someone to use them?

If you still have stuff you are trying to get rid of, have you tried freegive.co.uk. It is very good.

Summary: everyone should join!

From Chris.
